I got this call yes****ay from some idiot with an accent that was difficult to place (and I can usually figure out approximately where someone is from right away, even if they're just from a different part of the U.S.), so he might have been trying to disguise his accent; it sounded weird. Either way, he told me he was calling from the Jackson Law Firm in Florida, and that I had just won $350,000 and an all-leather-interior Mercedes-Benz. I dryly asked him how I had happened upon such luck, and he said it was because I had shopped at WalMart, CVS, or Walgreens, and was automatically entered to win a Publisher's Clearinghouse sweepstakes. I told him that I always pay in cash (which is true), and asked how WalMart/CVS/Walgreens could have possibly extracted my phone number from George Washington. He seemed a little f****ered, and just repeated that I had shopped at one of those locations and that's how I won. When I calmly stated that "this sounds like a scam," he sounded exasperated and said, "Oh my God. No ma'am, this isn't a scam, I am calling you right now to tell you that you have won blah blah blah, etc., etc." I inquired as to what I had to do to obtain this money, and he responded that all the****ociated taxes and fees had been taken care of ("99% of them!") but that I just had to pay shipping and handling and it would all be mine, mine, mine! Naturally, the S&H was so****ing like $375. I had to laugh.I asked him a few more questions, intrigued by the relatively novel experience of talking to someone that I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt was lying through his teeth AND trying to steal from me. However, I eventually decided to get back to my art project and simply ***g up on him. Nothing in life is free, folks.

yes, please watch your loved ones. The man who contacted my ***her had a deep low voice, and he wanted to speak to my ***her directly. I said he was detained, how could I help. He wanted to deliver a prize and needed information from my ***her. The man never would leave his name, the company name, or release info to me. He only gave me this phone number, and was very irritated with me when I asked him to repeat it. Ligitimate companies would NEVER do this. I would know. Watch your elderly loved ones!

UPDATE on FREE MONEY SCAM; just went to MyGrantUSA.com: the site was designed or administered by a company from Jamaica. -- Let me ask you, Why would a bunch of Jamaicans be experts (or even be legally allowed) to operate as agents in arranging United States Government grants for United States citizens?

FREE MONEY SCAM: Target: Elderly Individuals >Caller w/ very low lite**** [didn't seem remotely likely to be able snag a legitimate job] (probably Nigerian Scammer) called about 1.6 million dollars (for my elderly mother to claim.) He couldn't*****ounce a short female first name, I'm a guy w/deep voice & said I was she. - I asked all the questions --- His name; Omar Parker - Phone; 1-876-473-4470 - Adress (of company) given; 1521 29th St Apt 304 Hannibal Missouri 63401 >5 minutes later, possibly related got call from: Dainty Kirkpatrick (Nigerian accent, more intelligent, but seeming to speak as if struggling with her non native language) Company Name given; My Grant USA, of North Lauderdale Florida - She could have been a bad telemarketer who didn't have her names & phone #s in sync. Legitamacy is Highly Doubtful.
