Recieved this call on my landlind today. Man with heavy accent said he was calling from UPS and attempted to*****ounce my name and spell it and ask if I would be home for delivery. I knew so****ing was "off" due to caller ID and his manner. I questioned the location..and where the package was from..only to try to get more info from this guy. He said it was winnings and still pressed me as to if I would be home to accept it. I told him I was going to call the police and report this and he told me to go ahead because UPS works with the FBI. The call, though brief was very unsettling. I called UPS and reported it , and of course, it was not them. I then called my phone co. but they can do not anything without a police report, and frankly, I have no faith in my local dept in doing anything about this. I took off for the day cause it freaked me out. Has anyone had anything similar happen to them? I hope not of course.
