I have received numerous call from this number. Stating, "This is an important call for M.A.C, please return our call at 800-964-7365". I researched the number online. After finding the company's name I called and ask to have my number removed. This was my 3rd request. Once a***n the person I spoke with told me the database will be updated.

Have not had an American Express Card in 17 years and will not ever a***n have an American Express Card. I do not owe them anything but they keep calling at all hours at least once or twice a week.

They called me with a prerecorded message to call them back about my american express account. When you call back it is prerecorded asking for info from you. I did not reply.

calls every day to my cellphone explaing they are from ax and to please call them at 800-964-7365. I have called this number but the extension i apparently neen is allways busy. i do not have an ax card nor do i want one.

A recorded message claiming to be with AMEX asks that we return the call. When the call is returned, it's ANOTHER recording asking us to leave all of our personal info and someone will return our call. We called our Amex rep and this number is NOT affiliated with Amex. SHADY. We have reported this number to donotcall.org for telephone fraud

these people are calling for someone i knew 20 years ago and they stated the person they were trying to collect from was dead they are collecting for american express and i am sick of this abuse and rudeness and flat out lies

I do not owe any money, i have checked my credit report and i know i am ok. i get two different calls, one from NCO one saying they are AMX, they have not s****ed calling my step parents, who i do not live with. both numbers they call are T-Mobile charge numbers which is a***nst the law. Robot called a few time a day for a few months asking that Israel Calderon return the call. I called back once and asked to be taken off the list. They called back several times since then. I filed several complaints on www.donotcall.gov

800-964-7365 has been calling my home phone almost every day since March.  I tracked it down to American Express and wrote a letter to the CEO.  A man in that office wrote to me and I called him.  He promised to make this stop, since I don't have an AMEX card and don't owe them any money.  He told me it would take 24-48 hours to get the calls stopped but it has been 13 days and I still am getting calls.  It is not clear to me how this is a good business practice.  It seems like harassment and I am beginning to treat it that way.  Letters will soon go out to to my ******ia senators and to the two from Florida.

Number 1-800-964-7365 has been calling for 1 year for someone who does not have this number. They do no research just put it on a automatic robot. Since they have no intensions of c****ing their way of doing business even when we tell them they have made a mistake. WHY CAN'T WE DO SO****ING ABOUT THIS. Calls daily, when trying to ask who they are they sound like they are saying American Express, but I do not have an account with AMEX, I believe this may be a froudulent company as they won't tell me anything unless I divuldge SSN, which I will not.

I have been getting calls from this number for several months. We were given this number in Sept. The robot keeps asking for the same person, that person is not us.  I too call back and get a choice. Since I am not a card holder and will never ever get one of their cards  I punch number 2 which asks for my nanme and number and they will research it and do whatever.  Today I left a really tacky message because I am so tired of their foolishness and wasting my time.  If their robot would bother to listen to my message asking them to leave a message, it would know I am not the person they want, but it is just a robot.  I find it very funny that someone in DC has finally decided that a problem exists but only after he, Schumer, got some calls on his line. Aren't out DC people amusing. As long as they aren't bothered they could care less. I hope th robot calls just keep on being heard by those in DC. Then maybe they will stop their **** politicial robot calls. Life is so interesting.

I keep receiving about 5 calls a day from this outfit. They demand my social security # before they can tell me why they keep calling. Of course, I won't give it to them.

I receive a recorded message DAILY from this number identifying itslef as American Express asking for me to call back. When I return the call, it sends me to a message system. I've left messages for them asking not to call back; I don't owe American Express anything; havent' had an amex card in ten years. I did call them back about two weeks ago and talked to a couple of people (in India, maybe?) and they asked me if I ever lived in ******ia (i havent'); told them they have WRONG PERSON!! But they still keep calling....very annoying....please help me....

I get calls from this number 3 times per day.  I always miss it because it is during the day while I'm at work.  But I get a voice mail that is a recording giving me the 800 number and then uses my personsal number as a reference when I call back.  Everytime I call back I get a recording that says, "please hold all operators are busy stay on the line for the next available agent."  It will say this over and over a***n until eventually it ****s up on itself.  I have no idea what this could be???  I tried to google it but these kinds of postings pull up so I figured I would post my dealings with this number as well. AMEX Keeps Calling & Leaving Messages Daily, They wanted a return call at 800-964-7365. ***!

Calls every day usually in the morning around 7:00 or 8:00 am. It is always an automated call and looking for someone that must have had my number prior.

I have s****ed receiving calls from this number on my cellphone.  Appears to be AMEX or an agency working for AMEX.  I do not have an account with American Express.  Time to file charges with FCC and FTC.

I get the same type of call that others have complained about. I know there are ways to get a cell phone number, but I definitely did not give this organization permission to call me.

Call five times a day, say they are from AMEX. It is always a recording. When I call back I should enter my phone number. What can I do to stop this calling?

Well, it's april 2009 & this is happening to me.  Complained to the high school prin****l (FTC), and.. I expect nothing to happen since they have received complaints for MORE THAN THREE YEARS.

Said they are from AMEX and that if we don't pay a credit card bill that is past due today they will garnish my wages. The funny thing is that they have the wrong number When I call them they have no record of me in their system. We have had this number for over 15 years. I complained to AMEX but they said that the company is called Nationwide that does collections for them. I had them run my social security number and they had no record of me being in collections. They said they would pass this info over to Nationwide. It has been almost 2 weeks since I contacted them and they still call everyday. The best part is the callers mostly talk in a middle easterner accent. Probably India.

My phone is on "Do not call registry" and they calling every day and leaving annoying message.

Does anyone know how to really stop these calls? I am getting them, too.

Amex Division 800-964-7365 x 5040 keeps calling my childs cell phone and leaves messages for Nicole. Tell them to stop and the ignore it.

I have received numerous calls from this number, probably s****ing 2 or 3 months ago. I get them on my cell phone, and haven't answered- it always registers as a missed call, but only once has anyone left a message. The message was garbled, but it said so****ing about a debt. I don't owe anyone, and did not call back. I'm glad to see that others have experience with this number, but want them to stop calling!

I've also received calls from 800-964-7365 on a daily basis for the last several weeks.  Often, the caller ****s up when I answer.  I finally called the number back and someone claiming to work for American Express's "I-Collect" department answered.  He also said he's located in ****ay, India.  I then called American Express customer service and explained that I was receiving the calls and was patched through to a "specialist" who asked me for the number at which I was receiving the calls.  After I gave it to her, she said that American Express was trying to reach a different person at that number and that they would proceed to remove me from their automated dialer, basically conceding that American Express was responsible for the prank and harrassing phone calls.  I expressed my outrage and commented that these practices reflected poorly on the Company.  She said my comments were noted (yah right) and that I'd be removed from their calling list within 24 hours.  Unbelievable

Have an ongoing thimng with Amex for a while now, as with a few others.  If this Amex, it is not them formally but one of the agencies they work with.  I****ume they either sell your bill to another agency or they also own the agency itself

I have recieved these calls repeatedly over the last 4 months.  Same message, Not a Solicitation Call, etc...Today they called on Labor Day so I knew it wasn't AMEX. Called them back, got Chitra (female with heavy Indian accent). Says she is an American Express employee (asked her 3 times), would not give me her last name, nor her AMEX employee ID.  Said she couldn't tell me what it's about till after I verified all my personal information. Needless to say that wasn't happening. Told her to stop calling, she said "okay we won't call anymore", yea right.

I got a call today from this number. As always when my caller ID shows an unavailable, blank or toll free caller ID, I google the number. This number is from Nationwide Credit and apparently the person on the line identifies the calling agency as American Express or AMEX. Nationwide has been fined by the federal government at least twice in the past (1992 and 1998), icluding one fine of one million dollars, for deceptive debt collection practices. If you receive a call from these people and they idenitify themselves as AMEX or American Express or anything other than Nationwide Credit, initiate a law suit a***nst them for violation of the Fair Credit Debt Collection Practices Act.

Very annoying, at least one, sometimes two calls a day. Female, indian voice, just keeps talking. Have no A.E. account. I either don't answer or just **** up on them. Very rude but they keep calling. I'm giving up the land line and going private cell.

If they leave a message they say - 'it is not a solicitation, but an attempt to collect a debt'? Go figure. Caller ID only says Tollfree Number.

This number repeated calls my fax line.  I have called and also get a recording saying to leave my name, phone number, and account number.  No identification as to who the company is wanting this information.  I did not leave a message and I do not have an account anywhere that would be calling my fax line.

Sometimes when you pick up theres a long pause then nothing, but sometimes it clicks into this message about about 4 seconds.If you call the number back, you usually get the same record message, then it asked for your name, address, account number and phone number - we've never left these details of course.We called AMEX on the number on our bill and ask if this was them. The first time they said they couldn't tell us, which was strange. The second time when we s****ed getting more frustrated they confirmed it definitely was not them, and do not call the number. We've since reported it to the FTC.
