There's an automated ma****e that called me on a regular basis about 3 months ago asking for somebody named "Liberty Shatman". I know, that doesn't sound like a real name at all, but the voice of the computer was too unintelligible to discern what it was really saying. It took about eight trys of calling back to reach a human being to inform them that I'm affiliated with no such name, and to remove me from the call list. That happened... for a while. Now they're calling back requesting the same person.

Computer voice tells me to call Neal to collect a debt. No debt needs collected. Must be a fraud, tried to call back & no one answers, computer tells you to wait. They call most every day at least once.

I get 2 calls a day to my cell phone which I never answer and they have never left a message.  I will begin spamming them but will do it from a payphone this way they will not see my number and it will cost them extra.  We should all begin calling from a payphone and walk away leaving the receiver off the hook.

Message left at night that this was an attempt to collect a debt. I don't have any past due debts.

Received a call from claiming to be Ken, stating that he was from CBCS and that any information obtained from this call would be used to collect a debt. I nkrw that I didn't owe any outstanding dedts so out of curosity I called back.....twice!There was no answer and the second time the phone was allowed to ring for agbout two minuyes.  A legitimate company would have had a an answering ma****e.

They called and asked for Roy Lawd, (or other, could hear clearly) No one works here by that name. Then, "If this is Roy press 1, if not, press 2...." I pressed 2,then "If roy cant come to the phone right now press 2." I pressed 2, then This call is from Charlene please call back at 800-947-2987. Thank you goodbye." It was all totally automated.

This number calls and asks for my husband which in no way ever has my cell phone number on any paperwork he is attached to. They will not give any information away without getting personal information from me. (OBVIOUSLY will not give them anything) If they are a real debt collection company and they want their money, then they better tell us what its for.

They call on average of twice a day on my cell phone. There is a recorded message with no option for me to ask for my number to be removed from their calling list. They are asking for someone whom I don't know: presumably the former owner of this number. They are wasting both my time and their own. Why would they incessantly call a number that won't do any good for them? Complete idiots!

I recently upgraded my cell service to unlimited minutes.  When I get calls from numbers I don't recognize, I wait for the voicemail.  If it's not my problem, I save the number as "DO NOT ANSWER" that way I know when it's a **** calling.  Ha! I should put my ex's number that way too huh?

I finally called this number back and was aked for my account number. I politely asked the agent what company she was representing. She replied by asking for my number. I gave her a fake number and she said that that is not what showed up on caller id. I asked if she could see the number why ask. I asked her what number showed up and she refused to answer. I advised that I only have one monthly bill. My mortgage. It is a couple of months ahead and i really doubt that I am the party her company is trying to reach. One post above gave the company name.  I found the address below on their website.  I looked online regarding Fair Credit Act,etc and it stated that if you are receiving calls/letters and it is not for you, you should write a letter and send two copies-one regular mail and one certified mail with returned receipt requested.  That way you receive confirmation back of them receiving the letter.  You have to give your number or address (whichever they are contacting you through) and state they are to stop contacting you.  If they don't and you a copy of the letter (and receipt confirmation) you now have legal grounds to sue them for harassment.CBC******X 1810COLUMBUS, OHIO 43216I get calls, but no messages.  They call my cell phone and it drives me nuts.  I get different ones calling and no one will leave a message.  They call while I'm at work, so all I get is a missed call.

I have been getting these calls to me cellphone as well.  They just curse or say things that make no sense.  I am reporting this # to the BBB, FTC (federal trade commission), and the attorney general's office.  These people do this because they get paid by the hour to make a certain amount of calls a day.  If you we don't report businesses like this we allow them to be the a**holes they are.  I am a professional bill collector (somebody has to do it)and I know the penalties the company and individual collectors face for this type of action.  They also know it is hard to track which is why they don't care.  If enough of us hold them responsible by reporting this action, the company will either address it or cease to exist.

Well I have a debt with this company through SBC. When they call even though they have the wrong number tell them to either cease communication on your number or ask for a supervisor when you can actually get someone on the phone. I've done collections myself for 2 years so I know trust me. Inform them their violating the FDCPA because if their calling you all the time and you've informed them they have the wrong number its harassment plain and simple.

Who the heck are these people.  Two years ago I repeatedly told them that the person they were looking for was not at that phone number.  I finally gave up trying to tell them to stop calling.  I still receive two phones calls back to back twice a week from them.  Messages left on my ma****e always say the same thing.  I suppose this automation will always be connected to my phone number for eternity!!  Someone needs to find out the company name of this company so many of us can ban together and file a harrassment suit!

She said she would not be able to remove my number unless I gave it to them. I told her that I never asked her to remove my number, why would I want her to remove my number. Now she was getting hot! She said that they would continue to call my number unless I gave them my number to have it removed. I told her I would continue to call her back and play the same game. She then had a few choice words and ended our conversation. So go ahead and please call these folks back at 800-947-2987 and play their game. It very fun and will really give you a warm fuzzy feeling.

These calls maybe Iden***y thieves. They ask for you home phone number and last four of you SSN. Basic info to access your bank accounts.Hmmmmmm.

Called saying I had a bad debt with Texaco, which I don't. Refused to tell me if it was Texaco (who they said was the original creditor), or someone else who had bought debts and placed it with them for collection. Then a few days later, I received a "settlement offer" from them for 50% of the supposed debt, and that letter said the original creditor was Bank One! I've never done business of any kind with Bank One, and I don't owe money to Texaco, either. I believe they are just trying to see who will send them money.

I got this phone number when I moved here about a year ago... and have got about one one or two automated calls a week looking for some one named Darline Waters (Walters ?). Three times the calls have been from live people, who refused to identify themself, to whome I have explained that I didn't have a clue what they were talking about, and would they please stop. They have not. I'm going to call the Feds about this, but don't expect that they will do much, if any thing, to stop it. Perhaps I'll just have my phone number c****ed.

these people are idiots, they don't believe when I tell them the person they are calling isnt at this number..they are rude, refuse to identify themselves.  My guess is they are not a reputable company and they hire misfits who cannot understand english.  After all of these calls, If I had any info on the party they are calling I wouldnt give it to them.

I got a call telling me to wait for an agent. (I thought I had won a contest or so****ing). After 5 minutes this person with a deep voice said "hello, Mr. D-----" (they obviosly read my caller ID). I said, Yes, Sir, what company do you represent. The person responded by saying "You A** H---" This is a collection agency I am not a Sir. The person promptly ***g up on me. I have a good credit score with nothing in the closet that I can think of.

Receiving repeated automated calls for person I never heard of.  Latest was about 6:25 pm.  If I am X push 1, if not 2; when push 2, then push 1 if X can come to phone, or 2 if he is unavailable.  No way to tell them he has never lived here or had this phone number.  Previous call (after many) tried 1.  Person refused to identify the company or provide any information which could result in follow up.
