Received a call on my cell while at work today - I silenced the ringer. Immediately after they called my work phone number... I amswered and received a "click" - ***g up on me. I called the number back. Automated system asks for an account number (no identification of where I was calling, mind you) and after pressing 0 a few times a human answered. He said so****ing I couldn't understand and I asked "what business am I calling?" He said this is GE Capital retail - we handle retail cards such as Old Navy, Sams Club, etc etc." I said I do not have any of those cards you just mentioned, and I am receiving calls on my home and my work number. He repeated what I said, "You don't have any of those cards." I said "No. I do not have any of those cards." Then he asked me for the phone number that I was receiving calls on... so I laughed and said I would rather not... thanks - and I ***g up. Never mind that Sams is a discount card, not a credit card....? Definitely spamming. The economy doesn't **** enough for everyone, so people have to go out and try to steal from others? Come on...

I now respond with loud noises and anything that I can think of off the top of my head.
