Number on caller ID was (317)520-3980. They said they were Indianapolis Power & Light and they were going to disconnect our service for nonpayment. Told us to call 800-801-3846 within 30 minutes to avoid being disconnected.

Possible scammer fishing for your medical history and more. Sends US mail letter with inaccurate phone, address, and email. Request SS and date of birth in letter requesting notary sign. Claims ability to retrieve unclaimed refunds from state/bank/insurance/etc. Don’t fall for this scammer to have you deposit a phony check in 90-120 days only to be stuck for the full amount.
