bill collector for person who had this number before me

I received a call from this number like Big Guns. The options are Press 1 if the person they are calling or press 2 if not, both options to speak to a "live operator". I press "2" then I heard "Good-bye" then the call disconnected. Completely played. I called the number back but got a recording not in service. I believe this is a "s****ed" number that a collection agency is using to contact debtors or harrass people who have nothing to do with the debt.

Why would these people call a completely unlisted number looking for a Wrong Person who has never lived here, and no family member knows this person. They tell you push 1 if your him. 2 if your not him. What a scam!

do not send your money to anyone who call from this number. do not email them and request info. It is a scam. There was an ad in the paper for a job. I responded, they even had a website www.TheSuperiorCapitalSolutions.com , i sent them 1388$ that was the last time i heard from them. I was dumb and i got scammed

BILL COLLECTOR/CREDITOR SERVICE THAT REPEATS INCESSANT PHONE CALLS-TOLD LINDA MCKAY, SENIOR REP, THAT CREDITOR DOESN'T LIVE AT THE LOCATION THEY CONTINUE TO CALL.

I called 800-568-0399, they did answer this time,"Linda"said they were looking for " NEDRA JONES". I said i have had this # for over three years and no Nedra Jones here. She said she would remove my # from there call list.  We 'll see.....

I get this call 3 or 4 times a week, same as the other descriptions posted, a**** some other so called "debt collectors" that call.  sometimes they ask for people at this #.  I have had this unlisted # for over three years. Can the "scam" calls be traced by the phone company to an address?  If i get an Address i will  take care of them myself!

have been calling 3 and 4 times a day for the last 4 days phone rings twice and when you pick up there is nothing but a dial tone. Do not know who it is or wjhat they want and will not call them it maybe a scam.

I've been getting calls about every other day from 800-568-0399. The person at the other end never says anything or responds to my greeting. They usually **** up after I say*****o. They called a***n today, but this time I didn't say anything, and they stayed on the line for a while.I finally called the 800 number (it turned out to be a collection agency) and I asked them to stop calling me. Since Billie posted back in June the number of lawsuits has jumped up.Since January of 2009 they now have 26 lawsuits filed a***nst them. Since August 2008 that number jumps up to 38 lawsuits filed a***nst them. Most of these lawsuits are for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Then in 2004 they were fined $240,000 for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. This company uses illegal tactics to collect a debt, they don't care about our rights.My advice send a Cease and Desist letter now. And when they violate that sue them. You can get up to $1000 for every violation.

This company United Recovery Systems are been calling my house several times. I'm not the person they are looking for. Please stop the phone calls.

I just got a new cell # and all the above is true just call your cell co. to block that #. Sounds like the Lawyers are in on it.

This company has repeatedly called my house and ***g up when I answered. Early in the morning and late at nigh. When I answered and they finally said so****ing they asked for me and then asked if I knew someone living in my neighborhood. When I told them I didn't know the person and not to call back the agent said they would not call back. About a week later my 9 year old son answered and asked him several questions about the person who lived in the neighborhood to the point that my 9 year old finally said, "I don't think I should be talking to you and am going to find my mom." they ***g up. Then to make matters worse this afternoon they called and my 5 year old daughter answered. They asked her questions and she was only able to say, "My mother and grandmother are here. Do you want to talk to them?" When she brought me the phone they ***g up. I am extremely concerned that it is the same person who****ured me they would not call back and I am urgently concerned as to why he is talking to my children. I plan to get to the bottom of it.

Recevied this call @ 5:30 Pm, but they left no message. I called this number back to find out what they wanted. The lady on the phone told me they were a Finacial recovery company. I asked what it was they wanted when they called but left no message. I was told to call back later tonight as their phone system to check phone numbers is down. She did ask me for my Social Security Number and she would check that way. I told her I'm unaware of any dealings with this company.After I told her I wasn't going to give her my SSAN, I asked how she would look up my info that way if the Phone number lookup system was down, I said isn't that the same system. No reply, my phone call was disconnected....Makes me wonder. If it was someone who I owe money to, or it was important enough to call why didn't they leave a message or call back number.So, taking that into note I figure this company is just trying to sell me so****ing I don't need. If I did, I'm sure I would have called them FIRST!

The company is United Recovery Systems, they are a collection service that many other financial units use.  I mailed them a request to cease the phone calls but they have not complied.  I have notified their representative now that I have done so and their response is that they did not receive the request.  They continue to call multiple times a day, so now I'm going to pull my phone records and file a report with the FTC, or possibly file a claim in court.

Have been getting phone calls at various times of day for the last week - anywhere from 6:30 am to 9:00 pm.  If I answer, no one is there.  Some times it goes to my voice mail and there is no message, but the phone number 800-568-0399 is identified by my voice mail system.

They call me 10-15 times a day.Stop calling dot heads!!!!!!!!!

They have called my phone numerous amounts of times, my ***her's phone and my mother's phone. Yet a***n they will **** up or when I try and call them back I get an answering ma****e. I don't think it is legal for them to be harrassing my family members like this, it has to stop.

I have been getting the same calls also. I read the post concerning the small claims.I called them back and told the person that answered that they had beencalling my number at least a ***dred times in the last to months and if they didn't stop I would take them to small claims court.She said they would remove my number.I think it worked.Try that and maybe they will stop calling you.

The calls are from a collection Agency.And if you take them to small clames and can prove they keep calling (you might need to get the phone co involved by tracking incoming calls) the Agency will have to pay you $2000. per violation!!!! Keep a journal and record all the calls. Just rember you will be limited to the amount you can collect in each small clames case. this company calls my number several times every day.  When I pick up to say*****o, there is always an immediate disconnect.

Keep getting called from this number.  Have called back multiple times and after trying to make them tell me why they are calling, either ****-up or put on endless hold (I've waited on hold for 45 minutes).  I have demanded they remove my number and I get basically no response (and still get called).I have no accounts in default, so I am sure, because my number is new, they figure that because my name is common that I might be some how related to a person they are looking for.I have filed a complaint with the FTC.  It appears this company was sued for this same type of action before in 2002 and settled in 2004.

Both my mom 'n me are getting calls from this number. They leave no name, ask for no one. A mans voice just leaves a message with "resolution for you". Calls come between 7a - 8a, and between 6p - 8p. My mom and i don't live 2gether, so calls come om 2 diffent phones, one being my cell phone and both phones are  on Do  Not Call registery. With all scams out there, who wants 2 answer an unknown phone calls. Can't anything be done with these phone calls¡? When you do answ them, the people are so rude, none undestanding, especially if they are collectors. Mysterious if they are not

It is also for acct. collections - My wife has a past due medical bill and they keep calling.

They called numerous times. Every time they leave a message for someone not in our office.
