I got a call and now a letter for a bill for gas and electric in a state 3000 miles away. When I called they insisted it was for me (sorry but how can I have service for a state I do not live in?). The letter says "Haven't you stalled long enough on this past due accounts. Isn't it time you paid"I do think they are legit though, just have incorrect information.
(800) 240-1195
they're calling often, and no message left, to return call.If that's the way they want to play, I guess a block # would be in order.

I'm now getting calls 2-3 times a days from this number. They never leave a message and I never answer the phone. I know it's nothing to do with me since I do not owe anyone any money.
(800) 240-1195
This number has been calling me daily non stop for ages, asking for some guy I don't know. I don't know how they got my number, but no matter how many times I explain that they have the wrong person, they ignore me and call back the next day. They usually call several times a day, sometimes with a "restricted" number. They are impossible to reason with. If you get a call from this number, I suggest you do not answer. They will not give up. I'm at my wits end with these people and am considering getting my number c****ed.
(800) 240-1195
calls me several times a day, EVERY DAY, including weekends!
(800) 240-1195
CBCS means Could Be Collection Scam. File a complaint with the FCC website. NEVER give personal information over the phone.
(800) 240-1195
It's a scam. They called me to ask for my son who is in college, come credit matter, that they could not reveal to me. They sounded quite professional, and I almost gave in. But they were phony.
(800) 240-1195
THIS IS A DEBT COLLECTOR WHO HAS BEEN CALLING ME TWICE EVERY SINGLE WEEK FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS FROM 2 DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBERS. I DON'T HAVE ANY DEBTS. HE S****ED CALLING THE FIRST WEEK THAT I MOVED INTO MY APARTMENT. HIS NAME IS BOB JONES FROM CBCS.
(800) 240-1195
Caller leaves a message of just the phone number. That's it. But it happens once or twice a month.

I got a call from the same company. They call my cell phone 50 times a day- drain the battery.Claim I was at a doctors on Dec 24 in another state...I was at a doctors in another state, but paid the same day and have my receipt to prove it.Now why would I have a receipt saying I paid? if I didn't really pay? duuuuhhhh! Also, I was reimbursed by my province because I paid myself....so w***ver these losers are are very dumb.On the message the keep on leaving they mumble too so can't make out the number too well. They were trying to get my adress also-now if they were a real company they would have my address also. Also all hospitals if you are out of country ask for a credit card number first.
(800) 240-1195
When I called this number an ****** service called me back from 951-768-2584 this was also a scam.
(800) 240-1195
Definitely a scam. They've been calling my cell phone for the last week from a "restricted" number. They finally left a message to call this number back about a debt collection. When I did call back, Rachel with CSBC answered and as soon as I got the words "I think you've got the wrong..." out of my mouth, she said "I'm terminating this call" and ***g up immediately.
(800) 240-1195
I get a call from this number 4 times a day. I am not sure if I am being scammed but am sure I am being harrased.
(800) 240-1195
I got a call 2-20-08 during dinner from them asking for Carol Howard. At first I thought it was SallieMae Loan Company, because I had gotten numerous calls from them for Carol Howard. I repeatedly told them that I am not, in fact, Carol Howard, and neither do I know who she is. The guy on the other end was rather rude, and wound up ****ing up on me as my friend was in the process of taking the phone from me to yell at them. I later realized that I have the number from SallieMae programmed into my phone, so unless they were using a different number (and a live person instead of a computer), then it wasn't them. I never found out why this number was looking for Carol Howard, or who it is that was calling me.

CSBC seems to be legitimate...received a call 02/22/08 about a Hospital $49.00 bill back in March of 2003 and I just verified the services and delinquent amount directly w/ the Hospital Billing Dept.
(800) 240-1195
I got a call from these people. It is a SCAM. A Fingerhut bill they claim I owe from 1986! Never, ever had any dealings with Fingerhut and they also have my first name correct (but mispelled) and my old last name from my ex-husband (Which was not my name in 1986) Watch out for these people.
(800) 240-1195
This call must be a scam they claim I went to a doctors office in a state other than mine on X-mas eve four yearsago. Never heard of the doctor and why would I go to a doctor three states away on xmas eve. Got an at***ude when I said it was not mine.
