It is very interesting that this phone number is connected to a facility in Buffalo NY. When they first called my husband, they would only identify themselves as the "Florida Department of Health," doing a research survey. They told him that he would get $20 for completing a survey, although they gave no particulars (they also asked for the same information as the first commenter described). My husband (an attorney) was su****ious about this, and told them that he was not interested and would not answer a survey. He had only given his name A few weeks ago they called my husband a***n. He asked them why a Florida health department wanted to include Oregon residents. They didn't give him an explanation, or any other information about the supposed research project, besides it being an opinion poll "about cancer." He a***n told him that he would not parti****te. This evening they called A***N, a***n identifying themselves as "the Florida Department of Health." The woman said that they were following up on his agreement to take the survey! He became angry and told them he had told them twice already that he was not interested, and not to call a***n. They dangled the $20 as an incentive, not accepting his refusal. He then stated very clearly that he would not talk to them and ***g up, then immediately dialed *69. I Googled the phone number, and this site came up. I don't believe the previous comment. It did not explicitly state that the Roswell ins***ute is conducting the survey, but only implied it. The statement was also very ***ue, and did not provide a means for verification ( for example, contact information for the project leader, a project website, etc.).

This number called my phone number at least 10x during a 1 hour period. No answer - no message. This is harassment. This number should be noted as a source of annoyance calls and proper legal action should be enforced. I have contacted Verizon and will continue to forge a campaign a***nst any and all numbers such as these. Please pass this info. on and make the owner of this number regret the day they chose to pursue deviant behavior! FIGHT BACK! Caller: Unknown - Verizon #

Received several calls from this number in the last few months. Finally picked up this call. They wanted to know if this was my cell phone. I mentioned that this was a landline and they immediately ***g up. This seems really fishy. Pls. do not provide any information about yourself to them. I wonder how they get a hold of pulbic home and cell/phone numbers. How are they legally using these numbers for survey calls?

They've targeted my cell phone too. I'm sure this is not the "Dept. of Health," because their alleged survey is on a completely topic that hasn't been controversial or under study for a decade -- secondhand smoke. And the questions they asked me were on the order of "Do you have a fax?" "How many phone lines do you have?" I'm guessing it's Verizon.
