So, this company keeps calling me from an (800) number and tells me she is with a company named Hollander Chase and****ociates. This goes on for weeks and I try to find out what it is she wants. She says she can't talk to me because the call is actually for my husband. After a few weeks of this, she (THE SAME LADY WITH THE SAME NAME) is now calling from Cohen Schwartz and****ociates.This all seems like a scam to me, so if you are getting calls from either company, the two are definitely related. I recieve these calls and they are familiar from the past, though I won't answer them any longer. I distinctively remember thinking this is a call I never want to get a***n. Repeats and I don't have a way for them to leave a message. I saw Aaron's mentioned and that makes sense, I have family who uses Aaron's Furniture rental and I'm thinking maybe they never verified references! It seems some of you may have been used as references, though the person either didn't know you or gave a fake name to go with the number (or they are asking for the account holder instead of the owner of the reference number). I think the whole system needs revamped in how we go about acquiring credit. I also have received a number of calls from this number, calling about a debt owed by someone I don't know. Cohen Schwartz says that it is a law firm. However, when I called back I got a lengthy call wait. Law firms make it easy to contact them. Based on what I read on this site, I'm not sure what the best response is. I certainly will not disclose my name to them.

I have received 7 phone calls. I called and spoke to two people. One said they would remove me and the other said they couldn't. I left a mesaage with my name and number (maybe not a good idea) and I also reported the number to the do not call list. Also looked the number up and the "law firm" name and nothing. Soledad, the****ociate that I spoke with last, told me that they are investigators and they could not remove my number because when the type it in, my name doesn't come up. Duh, it's because it is not me. They also retrieve their messages just once a week because they are so busy. I pressed on and asked what exactly they research and she would not state the answer. She, before ****ing up on me, told me they were located in Atlanta Georgia and to "do what I need to do".
