Just received a call from CFG, 401-464-3000 where the woman left a message. She s****ed her message with her name and that she was calling from "YOUR bank". And to call back to an 877 number and their hours of operation are 8:30 - 5, M- F. This is the first time I received a call like this from CFG. The message is addressed to no one personally, its just random. I recently received a legitimate call from Citizens Credit card Fraud dept. and the message was addressed to my ***her (his name), a call back number and the hours of operations which are 24 hours a day. My ***her passed away in May and someone tried in Sept. to make a $900.00 credit card purchase in Mexico. I don't know if the recent random call is connected to the credit card fraud but, so****ing stinks. This is NOT a legitimate number for Citizens.

This caller claimed to be from Citizens Bank. They told me that one of my accounts was blocked and in order to unblock it, I needed to verify some things. I was asked for my account number and thought that was odd... I told him I would call the 800 number. He offered to give me the 800 number, but I called the one on the back of my bank card. The customer service rep at Citizens Bank told me that there is nothing wrong with any of my accounts and that even if there was, no one from Citizens would EVER call and ask for my account number.

Got a call from this number as well. Didnt answer but called them back. They said they were citizens bank. asked to speak to supervisor, supervisor said they were citizens bank, prolly calling for customer service survey. I ***g up.I then called the regular toll-free number for Charter One bank (which btw is part of citizens even if the ***nding is different)pressed 0 repeatedly to get to a humanasked to speak to supervisorgot the same supervisor, who did in fact remember my prior call, and confirmed that they use this number for auto-dialed surveys.I do not think this is a scam, but it is confusing since they operate under different names in different states. Charter one in the midwest etc citizens in pa, etcSurveys are a pita though, and worse when the company doing it is unclear about what they doing, and makes themselves look like they up to no good.

Calling me every few days on my cell phone. I don't answer because I don't recognize the number and it will cost me prime time cell minutes to listen/talk/whatever with these ppl. Some here are posting that the callers are identifying themselves as Citizens bank. I don't have an account with them and just a few days ago, a Citizens bank here in Michigan folded and went out of business.

This call came on my cell today, left no msg...I give the # to NO one and am on the DoNOTCall List. Hopefully, the feds and atty generals will s**** taking notice of thee sites if we ALL report these types of calls...otherwise they keep getting away with it! Also there needs to be a law which seriously prosecutes companies that use the caller id # c****ers (so it looks like a fake # is calling)...and the technology to sniff out this software
