A man identifying himself as Officer Dennis Cotton from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says I had won $750,000 from Good Housekeeping but had not claimed my prize. He says GH has to turn it over to CFPB to request forfeiture on it. He gave me a number to call GH and a claim number. I called and they "confirmed" that they were GH and that I had won. There really is a CFPB but I called them directly and they said their people don't do this. I don't remember entering their sweepstakes.

A man left a message telling me that I was reported to the IRS and was under investigation, and to call him back. I was su****ious, so I called the IRS directly and was told that there was no investigation and that the person who called me was a scammer.
