Same here (receiving spam texts), it's still going and it's March 15, 2011. Last month I got some spam stuff and it charged me $9.99. Verizon took it off and I had them block the SMS messaging from advertisers, but now I get this. Just like email spam, there's no way to stop this (so long as you have a cell and a plan that allows people to text you anyway). There needs to be a way to block texts from people or rejedct or even report them. Clearly, no one in a position to do anything about the text spams for this caller/spammer, gives any bit of a **** about it, else they'd not be doing it nearly a year later from the same freaking number! So long as I don't get charged and have this count towards my text total for the month (since I don't have unlimited), I'll try and deal with it. I'll raise***** if I have this **** counted towards my total, regardless if I ever get close (which I likely never would). I really hate how anonymous this allows these scammers to be, because I'd kick their f*ckin' teeth in (I'm not joking!) But since that thought is a dream at this point, you just have to deal with it and fight any charges it might incur. If this turns into so****ing that makes it impossible to sift through, that's when it'll be time for the cell phone providers to step up and offer so****ing else with their service to stop this (and they had better not think of charging for it or raising their fees because of it).

I and several of my friends are suddenly getting unsolicited messages from this TEXT TROLL. The email address that is provided in his text message is fake. Getting you to reply to him is simply his way of verifying that the text feature is activated on your mobile phone. Any reply at all ("yes" or "no") from your mobile phone will place your phone number permanently into his telemarketing database. Below are two of the phone numbers that we are receiving the exact same unsolicited text messages from. It is very likely that these are not the only phone accounts being used to spam us all. Please note that I am also providing information about these numbers that is publicly available through Google. 310-622-2637Area: West Los Angeles, CA (California)Exc****e: 310-622 (Winstar Communications, Llc - Ca) Phone Company: T-MOBILE USA, INC.Switch: SNMNCAXP3KD949-335-2291Area: Newport Beach, CA (California)Exc****e: 949-335 (Allegiance Telecom, Inc. - Ca)Phone Company: T-MOBILE USA, INC.Switch: SNANCACZDS0

"Eliminate up to 82 percent of your debt today -reallytext yes if you would like to know more txt no to opt outemail your # to [email protected]"Well, they are still at it. I thought about reporting this number to the "Do Not Call List" since my cell is listed with them. It did cost me $.25 and I am getting weary of these telemarketers and spammers.
